Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our Accident Repair Centre team. As a VDA, you will be responsible for assessing the damage to vehicles and creating accurate repair estimates, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage
Creating accurate and detailed repair estimates using manufacturer\’s data and industry guidelines
Liaising with customers and insurance companies to discuss repair costs and timescales
Ordering necessary parts and materials for repairs
Monitoring repairs and ensuring they are completed to a high standard
Keeping up-to-date with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards
Providing support and guidance to other members of the team as required
Ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
Keeping work area clean and tidy
Maintaining equipment and tools
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor in an Accident Repair Centre or similar environment
Thorough knowledge of vehicle repair methods, materials, and costs
Ability to use manufacturer repair data and industry guidelines to create accurate estimates
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport with customers and insurance companies
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard
Experience using estimating software
