Job Title: Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our Accident Repair Centre team. As a VDA, you will be responsible for assessing the damage to vehicles and creating accurate repair estimates, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage
  • Creating accurate and detailed repair estimates using manufacturer\’s data and industry guidelines
  • Liaising with customers and insurance companies to discuss repair costs and timescales
  • Ordering necessary parts and materials for repairs
  • Monitoring repairs and ensuring they are completed to a high standard
  • Keeping up-to-date with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards
  • Providing support and guidance to other members of the team as required
  • Ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Keeping work area clean and tidy
  • Maintaining equipment and tools

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor in an Accident Repair Centre or similar environment
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle repair methods, materials, and costs
  • Ability to use manufacturer repair data and industry guidelines to create accurate estimates
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and insurance companies
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
