Your Role

  • The successful candidate will be a valuable member of our team and have the following relevant experience:
  • Fault finding, and carrying out repairs
  • Undertaking vehicle maintenance, servicing and running repairs on a varied fleet
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines
  • Ensure all repairs to company vehicles are carried out in a timely manner
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard
  • The ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards

Your Skills

  • In order to be considered for this role, applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
  • City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, although qualification by experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience of working on coaches and buses such as Volvo, Scania, Optare, Mercedes and Dennis
  • PCV licence preferred but not essential (prepared to go through test)
  • Must have full driving licence with no more than 6 points to attend roadside
  • Have proven diagnostic skills and electrical experience
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a HGV or PSV Technician / Mechanic
  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles to DVSA standard

Other information

  • Β£20 per hour for candidates with PSV or HGV. Training can be provided.
  • 45 hour week. Monday to Friday early 0500 – 1500, days 0730 – 1730 Saturday morning and on call are based on a rota
