Experienced SEND Tutor - Coventry Area. Chalkline Education is growing, and we are looking for experienced, high-quality SEND Tutors to deliver impactful 1:1 support to learners aged 11-16 across Coventry. About the Role
- You will work with pupils who may be out of mainstream education or require additional support linked to SEMH, ASD, ADHD or MLD.
- Your sessions will focus on building confidence, engagement and academic progress through personalised, in-person teaching, primarily covering Maths and English.
- Sessions run weekdays between 08:30 and 16:30 (term time only).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 sessions based on each learner's needs and goals.
- Plan engaging lessons and set clear SMART targets.
- Monitor and record progress using our simple cloud‑based system.
- Work closely with parents, carers, schools and other professionals.
- Teach in local settings across Coventry, including homes, schools and community venues.
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teachers, Tutors, or experienced Teaching Assistants (minimum Level 3 teaching qualification required).
- Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive teaching approaches.
- Experience supporting learners with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or MLD.
- Confident, creative and adaptable planning skills.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
- Own laptop and ability to travel locally.
