About The Role

As a Support Engineer at Chalk, you will be our front‑line technical support expert, ensuring customers have exceptional experiences with our products. You will work directly with clients across industries such as finance, healthcare, and e‑commerce, helping them troubleshoot and optimize their usage of Chalk’s platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to deeply understand our technology, partner closely with our Engineering and Forward Deployed Engineering teams, and significantly impact customer satisfaction and product quality.

What You Will Do

  • Provide front‑line technical support to Chalk customers, diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Develop deep product knowledge to help customers maximize value from Chalk.
  • Document solutions, create knowledge‑base articles, and share insights to prevent recurring issues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance product reliability, usability, and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical background with experience in technical support or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Previous experience in customer‑facing technical roles is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Bonus Points

  • Experience supporting ML/data infrastructure or products.
  • Understanding of Machine Learning operations and infrastructure.
  • Previous experience in a high‑growth technology startup.

Chalk offers early team members a generous salary + equity package based on experience and competitive benefits.
