Chalk Hill Group are partnering exclusively with an internationally operating SME, based in Winchester, in their search for a Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take full ownership of the finance function within an established and growing business.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be given a broad remit covering everything from day-to-day accounting and management accounts through to cash flow, VAT, payroll, year-end, statutory reporting and financial planning. With operations across the globe, there's also an international element to the role, including intercompany accounting.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of the full finance function
  • Producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Managing cash flow, credit control, VAT, payroll and reconciliations
  • Overseeing year-end accounts, audit and statutory compliance
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning
  • Managing intercompany accounting across the group
  • Improving finance processes, controls and systems
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to the CEO

Your background will ideally include:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4 or through substantial relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing a broad SME finance function
  • Strong technical skills
