We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal & Commercial Co-ordinator to support a well-established professional services business based in the Winchester area. Working closely with the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in protecting the organisation’s commercial and legal interests.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of legal and commercial matters, providing excellent scope for career progression and hands-on experience across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, joint venture agreements, RFPs, RFQs, and other commercial documentation.
- Maintain appointments registers and associated contract documentation.
- Provide guidance on confidentiality, copyright, intellectual property, and contractual risk matters.
- Conduct due diligence on counterparties and identify legal or commercial risks.
- Support tender submissions, fee proposals, and related documentation.
- Attend management and board meetings to provide legal and risk-management input.
- Support GDPR and data protection compliance across the business.
- Maintain company trademarks and liaise with external legal advisers.
- Liaise with external solicitors and legal advisers on disputes and legal matters.
- Prepare documentation for mediation, adjudication, and litigation support.
- Provide practical advice to colleagues on contractual and commercial disputes.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a legal or compliance role – Paralegal / Legal Executive experience preferred.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience within construction, engineering, or professional services sectors.
- Exposure to mediation, adjudication, or litigation support.
