Chalk Hill Group are supporting a fast-growing and highly respected accountancy and advisory firm in their search for a Senior Personal Tax Manager, based in Wokingham. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, business owners and trusts, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You’ll be joining a firm that combines big-firm expertise with a supportive, people-focused culture, offering genuine scope for progression and development.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of c.150 personal tax clients
- Prepare and review personal tax returns
- Handle HMRC enquiries and disclosures
- Support Making Tax Digital (MTD) filings
- Prepare P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax returns
- Liaise directly with clients and HMRC
- Assist on advisory work (residence, CGT, IHT, trusts)
- Manage deadlines and workflow effectively
Candidate Profile:
- CTA qualified
- Extensive personal tax experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with ability to explain complex tax provisions to clients
- Experience with tax software (CCH desirable)
- Knowledge of residence rules and trust taxation advantageous
