Financial Accountant in Poole

Chalk Hill Group are delighted to be partnering with a growing and acquisitive services business based in Poole. As the business continues to expand through both organic growth and acquisition, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to strengthen their finance function. This is a full-time, office-based role, with an expectation to be in the Poole office five days per week. About the Role As a Financial Accountant, you will be key to statutory reporting and audit processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence. You will also provide financial insight that supports business growth and operational performance. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Prepare and review annual statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors during year-end audits Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system Perform regular reconciliations of control accounts and create detailed reconciliation schedules Deliver consistent, accurate, and timely financial reports to management Provide support to the management accounting function as required Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting procedures What Is Required From You ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified 2–3 years’ experience in statutory accounting and audit Strong planning and organisational skills Excellent knowledge Excel and accounting packages High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work collaboratively across teams Comfortable working in a fully office-based role The Opportunity Join a business with a strong growth trajectory and active acquisition strategy Opportunity to add real value and influence financial processes as the business grows Stable, full-time, office-based position in Poole Chalk Hill Group is a Recruitment Agency.
