Chalk Hill Group are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading construction business, based in Fareham, for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business operating across a number of exciting projects - offering real scope for development and career progression within a growing group. There will be an expectation to be in the office five days a week. You’ll support the finance function and Finance Director by delivering accurate, timely financial information across the two main business units.
Key duties include:
- Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments & journals
- Bank reconciliations and daily transaction monitoring
- Cashflow forecasting (weekly & monthly)
- Processing and validating supplier invoices (multi-site)
- Sales ledger maintenance and invoicing
- Supplier query resolution
- Supporting audit processes
- Ad hoc finance support as required
You’ll have:
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- Excellent communication and organisational ability
- Confidence working independently and meeting deadlines
- A positive, “can-do” attitude
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA
- Experience in construction, property or housebuilding (desirable)
