Chalk Hill Group have been retained by a well-established, international manufacturing business in their search for a Head of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially focused finance leader to join a forward thinking and growing organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, drive operational performance, and support the continued evolution of a growing business.
As a key member of the management team, you will play a central role in delivering financial insight, strengthening controls, developing talent, and supporting business transformation initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of financial reporting, performance analysis, business partnering, and continuous improvement activities across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Providing insightful management information and performance analysis to support decision-making
- Partnering with operational and functional leaders across the business
- Maintaining a strong financial control environment and ensuring compliance with group policies and reporting requirements
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Supporting business change programmes and transformation initiatives
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing finance team
- Acting as deputy to the Finance Director when required
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple sites and international locations
Your background will include:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience within a finance management position
- Financial and statutory reporting expertise
- Experience implementing process improvements and strengthening financial controls
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities
- A proactive, curious and solutions-focused mindset
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or operational environment would be advantageous.
