Chalk Hill Group are working with a well-established professional services business to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their London-based Finance Team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the monthly billing process, including raising and reviewing invoices.
  • Producing fee forecasts and projections.
  • Monitoring WIP, project budgets and profitability.
  • Preparing project financial analysis and monthly reporting.
  • Investigating and resolving billing and financial discrepancies.
  • Working closely with Project Managers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are billed accurately and on time.
  • Supporting management accounts and audit processes.
  • Helping improve project financial processes and systems.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong billing and WIP experience.
  • Good Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience working with project accounting or project management systems.
  • Knowledge of VAT and billing compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
