We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our friendly and supportive team at Chalfont Primary School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development, working closely with teachers to help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. You will provide both one-to-one and small group support, ensuring all children can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Interviews will be held on a rolling basis during the advertising period. Early applications are encouraged, as we may close the vacancy before the advertised closing date if we receive sufficient suitable applications.
Key responsibilities:- Support pupils in class under the direction of the teacher
- Assist children with additional learning needs, including SEND
- Deliver targeted interventions and support programmes
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development
- Assist with classroom preparation and resources
- Experience working with children (preferably in a school or educational setting)
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent)
- Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Ability to support children with additional needs (SEND) with patience and understanding
- Teamwork and organisational skills, including the ability to follow instructions and use initiative
Pay range: SCP 3 - 5 £22,688.19 - £23,380.38 (Includes Fringe Allowance) 37 hours, 39 weeks per year FTE: £25,796.00 - £26,583.00
