Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per year (Depending on experience)

Hours: 35 to 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview

Chalfont Electrical is seeking a Small Works & Projects Coordinator to support our growing small works, maintenance, EICR and project delivery operations. This is a key role within our office team, helping ensure projects run smoothly through effective coordination, documentation management and compliance support. We are looking for someone experienced, reliable and motivated who can take ownership of processes, work proactively and help drive efficiency across the business. You will support the delivery of small works, maintenance, EICR and project-related activities from instruction through to completion. Working closely with engineers, project managers, suppliers and clients, you will help ensure works are coordinated efficiently and project information is managed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise directly with engineers, clients, tenants, and suppliers to coordinate small works, maintenance, and EICR activities.
  • Arrange and schedule engineer visits, including booking tenant access and confirming attendance details.
  • Support the day-to-day coordination of jobs from instruction through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate job records and update company systems, including Fieldwire and internal trackers.
  • Coordinate project documentation, certificates, and supporting information required for completed works.
  • Provide real-time coordination support to engineers and clients to help ensure works progress smoothly.
  • Assist with workload planning and engineer scheduling to support efficient project delivery.

Project Support:

  • Support Project Managers and office teams with coordination and project administration activities.
  • Maintain clear project records and assist with reporting and project tracking where required.
  • Coordinate the preparation and compilation of Operating & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Liaise with suppliers and engineers to gather technical, commissioning, and project information.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of completed project documentation to clients.
  • Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) in line with project requirements.
  • Issue toolbox talks and support health & safety documentation processes across projects.
  • Assist in maintaining document control systems and compliance records to support successful project delivery.
  • Carry out general day-to-day administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience within a small works coordination, FM, PPM, or project coordination environment – Essential
  • Experience within an electrical contracting business – Desirable
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, suppliers, clients, and office teams
  • Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks and identify priorities independently
  • Ability to self-motivate and work effectively within a busy and fast-paced environment
  • Positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable
