Chainguard is the trusted source for open source. By delivering hardened, secure, and production-ready builds of all the open source software engineers and AI agents rely on, Chainguard helps organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk. Our customers include Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders, including Anduril, Canva, Fortinet, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, OpenAI, Snap Inc., and Snowflake.

Chainguard is hiring a Senior Deal Desk Manager, EMEA as our founding international Deal Desk hire. This is a high-impact, ground-floor opportunity to build and own regional Deal Desk operations across EMEA and APAC as we scale. You’ll be the primary commercial partner for our international sales teams – embedded in complex enterprise deals, owning the full quote-to-signature lifecycle, and setting the operational foundation that our INTL Deal Desk will grow on.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the Deal Lifecycle: Serve as the primary business partner for EMEA and APAC Account Executives, supporting complex enterprise deal structuring, pricing strategy, policy compliance, and exception oversight on non-standard commercial terms. Manage the full quote-to-signature workflow: quote creation, pricing approvals, order form generation, and clean opportunity closure. Maintain deal velocity – especially at month- and quarter-end – by proactively identifying and resolving blockers before they become fires. Engage directly with sales leadership as a trusted commercial advisor, not just a support function.
  • Shape How Deal Desk Operates Globally: Partner with Deal Desk leadership to define, document, and refine the frameworks, playbooks, and policies that govern how deals get done across the business. Bring a builder's mindset to process design – identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive consistency across regions and segments. Translate EMEA and APAC commercial nuance – procurement norms, contract expectations, multi-currency dynamics – into globally scalable practices. Act as a thought partner on how Deal Desk should evolve as the business scales, from tooling decisions to engagement models to self-serve design.
  • Improve the Systems and Processes: Support the build-out and optimization of Deal Desk tooling, CPQ systems, and approval automation in partnership with the Business Systems team. Maintain data integrity across Salesforce, IronClad, and related systems. Identify and drive automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve deal quality. Design for self-serve where possible, and leverage AI to accelerate review, reduce errors, and scale impact.
  • Drive Commercial Governance with Precision: Enforce pricing policies, approval matrices, and contract standards across the region – with the judgment to know when to hold the line and when to elevate. Serve as the first line of exception review for non-standard commercial terms, operating with the autonomy appropriate to a senior-level function.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7-10 years of Deal Desk experience, ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
  • Proven ability to support complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including non-standard structures, multi-year terms, and partner/reseller involvement.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM, CPQ and CLM systems.
  • Deep experience operating in or supporting EMEA markets; familiarity with regional procurement norms, contract conventions, and buyer dynamics.
  • Leadership potential: you’re not just here to execute, you’re building toward managing a team.

About Us:

We are customer obsessed – We focus on delivering solutions to our customers that create value and make their lives better. We have a bias for intentional action – We prioritize, plan, try things, and fail fast. We don’t take ourselves too seriously (but we do serious work) – We are solving an important problem that takes focus, but we also like to enjoy the journey. We trust each other and assume good intentions – We’re transparent with decisions to empower team members to make well informed decisions.

A few of the benefits we offer:

  • Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with team meetup opportunities, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs.
  • Our Approach to Equity: Receive stock options upon hire and promotion. Plus, you can participate in secondary offerings and have 10 years to exercise your options.
  • 100% Covered Health Insurance: We cover 100% of your health, vision and dental insurance premiums for you and your dependents.
  • Unlimited Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need – to do our best work, we need to recharge and reset.
  • 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: We offer 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, with the option to use it all at once or throughout your child's first year.
