Chainguard is the trusted source for open source. By delivering hardened, secure, and production-ready builds of all the open source software engineers and AI agents rely on, Chainguard helps organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk. Our customers include Fortune 500 enterprises and global industry leaders.

The Role

At Chainguard, we’re on a mission to change how the world builds and secures software, and we need a Senior Recruiter to help us grow globally. Your work will directly shape our international footprint, from building sales teams that open new markets to hiring engineers who create secure-by-default products. You’ll own searches end to end, partner closely with hiring managers and leaders, and ensure every candidate walks away with a strong impression of Chainguard. This role is about building high-performing teams that fuel our growth abroad, not just filling seats.

What You’ll Do

  • Run full-cycle searches for primarily go-to-market (GTM), with flexibility to hire across the international business.
  • Partner with leaders to define roles, align on hiring priorities, and set clear expectations for what “great” looks like globally.
  • Build and manage pipelines that anticipate growth in international markets.
  • Deliver a consistent, candidate-first experience across time zones and geographies.
  • Provide insights on international talent trends, compensation, and recruiting strategies.
  • Adapt and improve recruiting processes so they scale effectively across regions while staying human and flexible.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience recruiting primarily for GTM roles and other business roles with direct exposure to international markets.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders or founders on high-priority hires.
  • Skilled at navigating global hiring challenges—time zones, regulations, and local market dynamics.
  • Comfortable building and evolving recruiting processes to work across borders.
  • A trusted advisor to hiring managers and a thoughtful, respectful partner to candidates.
  • Adaptable, curious, and energized by helping a startup expand globally.
  • Bonus if you’re excited about open source, security, or finding great talent in unconventional places.

  • We trust each other and assume good intentions — We're transparent with decisions to empower team members to make well informed decisions.

A few of the benefits we offer:

  • Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with team meetup opportunities, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs.
  • Our Approach to Equity: Receive stock options upon hire and promotion. Plus, you can participate in secondary offerings and have 10 years to exercise your options.
  • 100% Covered Health Insurance: We cover 100% of your health, vision and dental insurance premiums for you and your dependents.
  • ∞ Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need – to do our best work, we need to recharge and reset.
  • 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: We offer 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, with the option to use it all at once or throughout your child's first year.

If your experience is close but doesn't fulfill all requirements, please apply. We're building the best team in technology and are focused on hiring "Chainguardians" with unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Chainguard is an equal opportunity employer.
