Our client is building a new kind of mobile gaming platform, combining short-form content with AI-generated games. Think TikTok meets Lovable, where discovering a game and playing it are part of the same seamless experience.
We're looking for a Product Lead to define what the product becomes, own the product direction and build an experience that keeps users coming back.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership. You'll take input from the founders and Growth Lead, but you'll have the final say on what gets built, why it matters and how the product evolves.
You'll own the full consumer product experience, from helping new users discover the value of the app to building the habits that bring them back. You'll lead a cross-functional team of around 10 people, working closely with engineering, design, QA and research to turn product direction into a compelling, continually improving experience. This isn't an oversight role. You'll be involved in the detail every day, making decisions, testing ideas and driving measurable improvements in activation, retention and engagement.
What You'll Do
- Own product direction: Set the product vision and priorities, taking input from the founders and Growth Lead while making the final decisions on what gets built.
- Drive activation and retention: Understand how users reach their βahaβ moment and develop experiences that bring them back on Day 1, Day 7 and Day 30.
- Scale the product: Build on experience growing a consumer app from approximately 100K to 1M+ monthly active users.
- Drive measurable outcomes: Identify the metrics that matter and deliver improvements in retention, onboarding completion, sessions per day and overall engagement.
- Lead experimentation: Run a live A/B testing programme, using data and user behaviour to validate ideas and inform product decisions.
- Lead and develop the team: Guide a cross-functional team of approximately 10 across project management, engineering, QA, UI design and UX research.
- Work closely with engineering: Navigate technical constraints and trade-offs, balancing delivery, quality and user experience.
- Shape the user experience: Bring strong product judgement and a clear point of view on what makes social and short-form products engaging and habit-forming.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years owning a consumer mobile app across iOS and Android.
- At least 2 years of people management experience.
- Direct experience building or scaling a social, UGC or short-form consumer app. This is essential.
- Proven ownership of activation and retention, with a clear understanding of how to improve early user engagement and repeat usage.
- Experience helping an app grow from approximately 100K to 1M+ monthly active users.
- A track record of moving key product metrics, with specific, quantifiable examples of results.
- Experience running a live A/B testing programme.
- Strong product taste, a deep understanding of social apps and a clear perspective on what makes a product habit-forming.
- The ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on with product decisions and execution.
- Confidence working through trade-offs with engineers. Deep AI or machine learning expertise is not required.
- Experience in a startup or smaller product team is particularly relevant, where you've had meaningful ownership of the product rather than responsibility for a single feature within a much larger organisation.
Location & Working Arrangement
The role can be remote initially, with the expectation that the successful candidate will eventually be based in London or Sofia, working hybrid two days per week in the office.
