Chain of Hope is seeking an experienced, highly organised Senior Events Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of our programme of special and major donor events. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring every event is delivered to an exceptional standard while maximising net income and supporting our wider fundraising strategy.

The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering our flagship Gala Ball, overseeing prize acquisition, auction logistics, guest management, and overall event administration. This position requires strong operational expertise combined with a clear understanding of fundraising, ensuring events are impactful, cost-effective, and aligned with income targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Event Planning
    • Develop and manage the annual fundraising events calendar
    • Produce detailed project plans, timelines, and delivery schedules
    • Prepare and oversee event budgets with a strong focus on profitability
    • Identify opportunities to increase income and improve cost efficiencies
  • Flagship Gala Ball Lead
    • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of the Chain of Hope Gala Ball
    • Coordinate with venues, caterers, production teams, décor suppliers, and other vendors
    • Manage prize acquisition and post-event fulfilment processes
    • Work closely with the CEO and Fundraising & Communications Manager to align the event with sponsorship, donor stewardship, and brand positioning
    • Support the growth of sponsor, donor, and prize donor relationships
  • Other Fundraising Events
    • Deliver the annual Carol Concert and additional fundraising events
    • Coordinate challenge events and third-party fundraising activities
    • Provide logistical support for ambassador and major donor events
    • Collaborate with the Donor Relations Manager to ensure accurate guest data and effective post-event follow-up
    • Line manage temporary staff and Events Assistants where required
    • Coordinate volunteers and oversee event staffing on the day
    • Support Gala Committees with planning and delivery needs
