It is an exciting time at Chain IQ and our team in London is looking for a Sourcing Expert in the focus area of IT Technology and Outsourcing. Our ambition is to strengthen the existing highly experienced team to support business development and consulting-like projects to grow our client base.
Role Purpose
The primary purpose is to deliver valueâadd sourcing initiatives and projects to clients in a structured, professional and consistent manner.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners, key suppliers, and multiple client groups.
- Leading assigned sourcing initiatives, varying in complexity, scope, and scale across categories.
- Acting as a subject matter expert, advising clients on supplier capabilities, best practices, and market strategies in the tendering phase for new Chain IQ prospects as well as existing clients.
- Working in a projectâbased delivery model with a consulting mindset to support multiple clients and assess, analyze, and drive savings opportunities.
- Understanding complex business requirements and shaping deals to meet those requirements.
- Providing highâlevel savings estimations and value sizing in earlyâstage project phases.
- Calculating financial baselines, pricing models, and futureâcase analyses for negotiation strategies.
- Ensuring compliant contracting, performance management, and issue resolution.
- Documenting sourcing workflows and project administration in required client or Chain IQ systems.
- Maintaining market awareness of relevant categories and contributing to sourcing area plans.
- Managing multiple priorities, often to tight deadlines, and delivering highâquality results.
Sectorâspecific Responsibilities
- ITO / BPO Domain and category expertise should include IT Hard- and Software, IT-Infrastructure and Telco, IT Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing.
- Leading sourcing across ITO, BPO, outsourcing and offshoring categories.
- Managing SLAs, KPIs, delivery models, and regulatory contract considerations.
- Engaging major global outsourcing providers and supporting market analysis and benchmarking.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
- Proven capability running multiâmillionâdollar sourcing projects.
- Several years of experience with active contract and commercial negotiations.
- Experience in relationship management, deal structuring, vendor management, and procurement.
- Strong consultingâstyle capability: structured problem solving, senior communication, analytical thinking.
- Experience drafting contracts and identifying business and legal issues with limited specialist support.
- Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, pricing analysis, baselining, and financial modeling.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sourcing systems (e.g., SAP Ariba).
- Ability to work with stakeholders and suppliers across different business areas and in a global setup.
- Professional team player â committed, motivated, flexible, with strong client and team focus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
