I am supporting a well‐established law firm that is looking to recruit a full‐time Private Client Paralegal to join their Wills, Trusts and Estate Administration team. The successful candidate will work alongside two experienced Partners within a friendly, supportive department that encourages professional development and high‐quality client care.
Key responsibilities
- Estate and trust administration
- Drafting Wills
- Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection and attorneyship work
- Regular client contact, including face‐to‐face meetings
- Providing clear, tailored advice in line with each client's needs
- Progressing matters efficiently and keeping clients updated on costs and timelines
- Using available administrative support to ensure smooth file progression
- Assisting with basic financial administration on files (with support from the cash office team)
- Supporting Partners with marketing and business development activities
- Maintaining compliant, well‐organised and up‐to‐date files
- Preparing correspondence and documents using Microsoft Office
- Ensuring confidentiality and security of all client information
Skills & experience required
- Recent experience managing your own matters within a Wills & Probate or Private Client team
- Strong communication and client‐care skills
- Ability to work proactively, use initiative, and support the wider team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate typing skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Passionate about private client work with a strong work ethic
- Full, clean driving licence
