A respected UK law firm is seeking two Solicitors with 0-3 years' post-qualification experience to join its specialist Military Department in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a collaborative environment, focusing on claims involving military deafness and non-freezing cold injuries.
The Role
- Taking initial client enquiries and drafting witness evidence
- Managing high volumes of disclosure documents
- Updating clients and handling telephone enquiries
- Assisting in instructing counsel
- Preparing court documents and detailed schedules of loss
- Assessing complex medical conditions and reviewing medical reports
- Reviewing expert reports (acoustic engineering, occupational health, environmental, military training)
- Advising on breach of duty and quantum offers
- Supervising and supporting the Paralegal team
Candidate Requirements
- 0-3 years PQE (claimant litigation exposure essential)
- Experience managing a caseload independently
- Previous experience with noise-induced hearing loss claims (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent client care and communication skills
