A well-established legal practice is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate with 4-7 years post‑qualification experience to join its growing litigation team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of litigation matters including commercial, property, construction, and contested estates, while contributing to strategic growth and client development.
The Role
- Managing your own caseload and supporting senior colleagues on complex disputes, including:
- Handling commercial, property, and construction litigation
- Advising on contested wills, estates, and debt recovery
- Managing cases from initial enquiry through to trial
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and witness statements
- Liaising with clients, Counsel, and experts
- Attending hearings and settlement discussions
- Delegating tasks to trainees and junior staff
- Supporting business development and client relationship management
Candidate Requirements
- 4‑7 years PQE in litigation (applications from strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
- Proven ability to manage a caseload through to trial
- Strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes
- Experience working directly with clients, Counsel, and experts
- Commercial awareness and ability to build client/referrer relationships
