A leading national practice is seeking a Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor or CILEX to join its expanding Clinical Negligence Group in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a complex caseload of high value claimant clinical negligence matters while supervising and mentoring a small team.
The Role
- Manage your own caseload of complex and technical clinical negligence claims
- Handle high value matters both pre and post issue
- Supervise and mentor a team of case handlers
- Conduct weekly risk assessment meetings and 1 2 1 supervision sessions
- Provide ad hoc guidance and support to junior colleagues
- Participate in team training, development and marketing initiatives
- Maintain and contribute to the group's case management procedures
This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging, sensitive and rewarding cases while playing a key part in team development.
Hybrid Working
- Based in the Cardiff office 2 days per week in the office, 3 days from home
- Company laptop provided
- Suitable home working setup required
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with solid claimant clinical negligence experience
- Strong litigation background with proven experience managing complex claims
- Excellent knowledge of CPR and clinical negligence law
- Experience supervising, coaching and developing junior team members
- Ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism and empathy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient IT skills and a confident, organised approach
- Experience with LEI, CFA or publicly funded cases (advantageous)
