A top regional firm is seeking a Tax & Trusts Lawyer to join its accredited Private Wealth team in Southampton. This full‑time role offers hybrid working, exposure to high‑net‑worth clients and clear progression within a supportive, human‑first culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer discretionary and interest‑in‑possession trusts; conduct annual trust reviews and maintain trust accounts.
- Advise trustees on fiduciary and statutory duties; support and attend trustee meetings.
- Draft trust deeds, minutes, resolutions and complete TRS filings.
- Prepare tax returns relating to trust income, CGT and IHT.
- Mentor junior team members and support business development and client events.
Candidate profile:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with demonstrable trusts and tax experience.
- STEP, ATT or comparable qualification desirable.
- Strong technical ability, excellent organisation, and clear client communication.
- Proactive, commercial mindset; comfortable with case management systems and hybrid working.
