A respected and growing regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Associate Solicitor (5-8 years PQE) to join its Probate team in Swansea. This senior role offers autonomy, influence and the opportunity to shape the future of a thriving department.
The Role
- You will manage a broad and varied caseload, including:
- Wills, estate planning and wealth preservation
- Probate and estate administration (including complex and high value estates)
- Trust creation, structuring and ongoing management
- Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice
- Handle complex and sensitive matters with minimal supervision
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships
- Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, trainees and support staff
- Support business development, networking and marketing initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the department
- Maintain accurate file management, time recording and billing
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5-8 years' PQE
- Strong experience across wills, probate and trusts
- STEP qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently
- Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Experience supervising junior team members
- Demonstrable business development experience
- Professional, organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Collaborative and team-oriented
