Chadwick Nott are delighted to be working with a leading international law firm seeking a talented Supervising Associate to join their growing Contentious Construction Disputes team in Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity for a solicitor with 3-6 years' PQE to work on complex, high-value disputes with a global reach, all from the heart of the South West.
The Role
This role offers exposure to some of the most challenging and rewarding construction disputes in the market. You'll be working with a diverse client base including contractors, employers, and construction professionals across transport, energy, infrastructure, and engineering projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on litigation, arbitration, and adjudications
- Handling proceedings before the TCC and other dispute resolution forums
- Working with NEC, FIDIC, and other standard form contracts
- Collaborating with real estate and non-contentious construction teams
- Advising on regulatory changes and professional risk issues
- Supporting enforcement actions in foreign jurisdictions
- Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives in Bristol
Candidate Requirements
We're looking for a solicitor who brings:
- 3-6 years' PQE in construction disputes
- Experience at a leading insurance and/or construction law firm
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts
- Familiarity with adjudication and TCC procedures
- Exposure to international arbitration rules (ICC, LCIA, UCTA)
- Fire safety experience (desirable)
- Excellent academic background and commercial acumen
- A collaborative, proactive approach and enthusiasm for client engagement
