A well regarded national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its expanding Construction team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly respected practice, supporting a diverse client base across Education, Charity, Business and wider sectors. The team has seen significant recent investment and growth, making this an exciting time to join.
The Role
- Managing your own caseload of non contentious and contentious construction matters
- Supervising and delegating work to junior team members
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Ensuring all clients receive an exceptional standard of service
- Working collaboratively across the wider firm
- Upholding firm standards, procedures and core values
- Supporting business development initiatives, including seminars, networking and pitches
- Engaging in ongoing learning and contributing to internal and external training sessions
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with strong experience in both contentious and non contentious construction work
- Experience supervising junior colleagues
- Ideally dual qualified in law and construction (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB or similar)
- Strong interest in business development and client engagement
- Ability to demonstrate breadth of experience across construction and infrastructure
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage a busy workload
Desirable
- Experience working within the Education, Charity or Public Sector funding environments
- Specialist ADR qualifications (arbitration, adjudication) and/or membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
- Experience in delivering workshops, seminars or training
Reporting
The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Dispute Resolution team.
