A growing regional law firm is seeking an experienced Contentious Probate Lawyer to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied and stimulating caseload, with strong prospects for progression and a generous package based on experience. The firm is also open to applications from less experienced lawyers, trainee legal executives, who are keen to develop their career in this specialist area.
The Role
- You will handle a broad range of contentious probate matters, including:
- Inheritance Act claims
- Contested wills
- Executor and trustee disputes
- Equitable interest and proprietary estoppel claims
- Advising clients on complex estate and trust disputes
- Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- Supporting business development and contributing to the team's growth
This is a dynamic and varied role offering exposure to high quality work and the opportunity to develop specialist expertise.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified lawyers with experience in contentious probate
- Individuals with experience in Inheritance Act claims, will disputes, executor disputes or equitable interest matters
- Paralegals or trainee legal executives seeking to build a career in contentious probate
- Strong communicators with excellent client handling skills
- Organised, proactive individuals with the ability to manage a busy caseload
