A respected regional law firm is seeking a Solicitor or FCILEX with 5+ years' post-qualification experience to join its highly regarded Inheritance & Trust Disputes team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex and high-value contentious private client matters alongside recognised experts in the field.

The Role

  • Managing a varied caseload and advising on a broad range of disputes, including:
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Disputes over the validity of wills and estate administration
  • Breach of trust and trust administration issues
  • Capacity and undue influence claims
  • Disputes involving cohabiting or separating unmarried couples
  • Drafting cohabitation agreements
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development

Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years PQE in contentious trusts and probate (or strong litigation experience with a desire to specialise)
  • Excellent technical, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Strong client management and relationship-building abilities
  • A collaborative, proactive, and commercially aware mindset
  • Ambition to grow within a successful and supportive team
