A leading UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join its International Private Client team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded, collaborative department specialising in cross border private client matters, including international wills, estates, succession planning, and tax advisory work.
The role will focus on cross border wills, succession and estate planning, and international private client matters. Experience with civil law jurisdictions is essential, and Spanish language skills or experience with Spanish private client work are advantageous.
The Role
- Drafting wills, trusts, deeds, advice notes, and tailored client documentation
- Managing the administration of complex cross border estates
- Communicating directly with clients, advisers, and international stakeholders
- Providing efficient, effective, and commercially aware advice
- Supporting and progressing an active caseload
- Participating in marketing, networking, and business development initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of a recognised training contract or equivalent qualifying experience
- 2-4 years' experience in international private client work
- Experience with civil law jurisdictions; Spanish private client experience is advantageous
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- High levels of professional integrity and client care skills
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and case management systems
- A demonstrable interest in international private client matters
