Legal 500 ranked firm are looking for an experienced commercial litigator (5+ years PQE) to join their central Bristol team. If you’re ready to take the lead on complex disputes, mentor junior colleagues, and play a key role in business development, this is a great opportunity to step into a senior role with real impact.
You’ll manage your own caseload and contribute to the team’s success through high-quality fee-earning work. The successful candidate can expect to advise on a wide range of matters including:
- Contractual disputes
- Corporate acquisition issues
- Professional negligence claims
- Insolvency
- Shareholder and director disputes
- Alternative dispute resolution
You’ll also collaborate with other departments offering joined-up advice across the firm. Beyond the legal work, you’ll be involved in supervising junior lawyers, supporting internal teams with litigation queries, and helping shape the department’s marketing and business development strategy. This includes attending networking events and identifying cross-selling opportunities across the business.
This is a full-time role based in central Bristol, with part-time options considered. Hybrid working is available post-probation.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload and contribute to fee-earning work.
- Advise on contractual disputes, corporate acquisition issues, professional negligence, insolvency, and shareholder/director disputes.
- Handle or participate in alternative dispute resolution as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide joined-up advisory services.
- Supervise junior lawyers and support internal teams with litigation queries.
- Help shape the department’s marketing and business development strategy, including attending networking events and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
