Exciting opportunity to join a Legal 500 and Chambers ranked Clinical Negligence team in the heart of Bristol. Due to continued growth and a strong reputation for handling complex, high-value claims, the team is looking to appoint a Senior Clinical Negligence Lawyer (6+ PQE). You'll work on a varied caseload of serious and high-profile matters within a well-resourced, supportive environment.

The Role:
- Manage your own caseload of complex clinical negligence claims, while also supporting on high-value and maximum severity cases.
- Running pre-action and litigated clinical negligence matters.
- Advising clients on funding options (CFA, legal aid, insurance).
- Drafting witness statements, pleadings, and court documents.
- Instructing experts and Counsel.
- Attending hearings, case management conferences, and inquests where required.
- Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to complex case strategy.
You'll also play a key role in the wider team, helping to strengthen client relationships, contribute to business development, and support the ongoing growth of the department.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Lawyer with 6+ years' PQE.
- Strong experience handling complex clinical negligence caseloads.
- Confident managing high-value, sensitive claims independently.
- Excellent client care, communication, and drafting skills.
- Commercial awareness and interest in team development.
- Accreditation (Law Society, APIL or AvMA) advantageous but not essential.
- IT literate and comfortable with case management systems.
