Senior Associate / Director - Pensions - Bristol - 6+ Years PQE Location: Bristol (with hybrid flexibility) Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time Salary: £85,000 to £120,000 (depending on experience) A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Director to join its highly respected and expanding Pensions team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to take on high profile work within a collaborative, forward thinking environment, advising employers, trustees and public bodies across the full spectrum of pensions law. The Role You’ll be responsible for advising on a broad range of pensions matters, including: Risk reduction and transfer exercises (buy ins, buyouts, alternative funding arrangements) PPF assessment periods, scheme rescues and high profile insolvencies Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) matters across England and Wales Corporate transactions, scheme mergers, restructurings and wind ups Complex pensions litigation, including professional negligence and Part 8 claims Supporting the operation of one of the UK’s leading independent trustee companies Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development Working closely with colleagues across the national team to deliver high quality, commercial advice Candidate Requirements 6+ years PQE in non contentious pensions work Experience advising employers, trustees or public bodies Strong technical knowledge across the areas outlined above Excellent communication and client handling skills A proactive, commercial and solutions focused approach Confidence managing complex matters with appropriate autonomy Strong organisational skills and attention to detail The firm is open to appointing at Senior Associate or Director level, depending on experience.
