A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Clinical Negligence team within its Health Advisory & Litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the largest specialist health sector teams in England and Wales, advising major healthcare bodies including the NHS.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for managing a complex and high value caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters, including:
- Handling a broad range of clinical negligence claims on behalf of the NHS and other healthcare clients
- Managing complex, sensitive and high value files independently
- Supervising and delegating work to junior lawyers and supporting their development
- Providing high quality legal advice and maintaining excellent client relationships
- Contributing to business development and wider team initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal processes
Candidate Requirements
- This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:
- Strong clinical negligence experience (defendant experience preferred)
- Excellent technical ability and sound judgment in complex matters
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence managing a demanding caseload independently
