A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join the Risk & Compliance team of a highly regarded Top 100 UK law firm with a strong national presence and Legal 500-recognised expertise, playing a key role in supporting and strengthening the firm's regulatory and governance framework. Working closely with legal and business services teams, you'll provide practical advice on compliance matters, support risk management initiatives and help embed best practice across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on regulatory and compliance issues across the firm
  • Supporting client onboarding, conflicts and file management processes
  • Reviewing engagement documentation and contractual arrangements
  • Assisting with complaints, claims and regulatory matters
  • Delivering training and guidance to colleagues
  • Supporting internal audits, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and communicating key changes
  • Contributing to projects relating to risk, compliance, governance and legal technology, including AI

This is a varied role offering significant stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to influence how risk and compliance is managed across the firm.

Candidate Requirements

You’ll ideally have:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years' PQE
  • Experience of working within a law firm environment
  • Knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Confidence delivering guidance, training and constructive challenge
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • An interest in legal technology and the compliance considerations surrounding AI

Previous exposure to risk and compliance work would be advantageous but is not essential.
