A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Lawyer to join its Residential Development & Property team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate with 5+ years PQE to take the next step in their career, with full support from senior leadership and a clear path for progression. The role offers exposure to a broad and complex caseload at the technical end of residential property, combining elements of development, finance, and investment. You\’ll work closely with colleagues across the wider Real Estate division and have the opportunity to supervise junior team members, contribute to business development, and support strategic growth.
The Role
- You\’ll manage a diverse caseload of residential real estate transactions and deliver high-quality legal advice to clients in a commercially astute manner. You\’ll also play an active role in marketing the department\’s services and supporting the growth of the team and wider firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a broad range of residential property matters including:
- Residential development projects
- Bridging finance and lender-side transactions
- Portfolio refinances
- Title splitting and lease drafting
- Complex residential conveyancing
- Plot sales and site set-up
- Infrastructure agreements
- Auction transactions
- Act for lenders, developers, and investors across residential real estate
- Advise on complex, technical matters with minimal supervision
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Scope fees and manage budgetary aspects of client matters
- Develop internal and external networks of clients and intermediaries
- Attend networking events and contribute to marketing initiatives
- Begin to develop niche or sector expertise
- Support junior team members with technical and business guidance
- Ensure clear communication across all levels of the team
- Track progress against KPIs and meet performance targets
About You
- Is a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx with 5+ years PQE
- Has a strong track record in complex residential conveyancing and development work
- Can manage their own files and delegate effectively
- Demonstrates excellent drafting, organisational, and client relationship skills
- Is commercially minded and enthusiastic about practice development
- Brings a collaborative and supportive approach to team leadership
