b Overview /b p In this role you support a Band 1 ranked planning practice by delivering high-quality knowledge and research support for major development projects. You will develop precedents, manage know-how, and lead training and innovation initiatives while collaborating with fee earners across the UK. The position blends knowledge management with advisory work, and may include hands-on planning work for scope and experience. (explicit: Private medical insurance) /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Knowledge management: collect, maintain and organize planning know-how /li li Draft and update precedents, styles and technical guidance /li li Research and advisory support for major development and infrastructure projects /li li Support work on DCOs, compulsory purchase, planning applications, appeals, marine licences, EIA/HRA, highways, judicial review, due diligence /li li Develop and oversee training programmes and deliver where required /li li Support business development, marketing content and publications /li li Lead innovation and AI initiatives within the Planning team /li li Collaborate with Knowledge Counsel colleagues and fee earners across the UK /li li Possible portion of fee earning work to maintain hands-on planning experience /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Qualified solicitor with strong planning team experience /li li Demonstrable interest in knowledge, research, innovation and business development /li li Excellent written and oral communication skills /li li Strong academic background /li li Commercial orientation and commitment to innovation /li li Ability to work independently and collaboratively /li li Strong organisational skills and ability to meet demanding deadlines /li /ul ul li communication skills /li li independence /li li collaboration /li li knowledge management /li li drafting of precedents and guidance /li li research and advisory support /li /ul
