A highly regarded international law firm is seeking an Associate with experience in property damage-related insurance losses to join its expanding team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to help grow a new regional practice while working closely with colleagues on high value, complex and international matters.
The Role
You will join a specialist team acting for insurers, reinsurers and major multinational clients across property, energy and construction sectors. Responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and commercially focused coverage advice
- Pursuing subrogated recoveries
- Defending high value, complex and international claims
- Supporting the development of the Bristol team
- Engaging with insurers, construction professionals and non-insurer clients
- Maintaining strong technical, research and case management standards
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 2+ years PQE in property damage or related insurance work (guideline only)
- Experience handling complex or high value claims
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload proactively and independently
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong technical and research capability
- Confidence in client engagement and willingness to attend business development events
