Professional Support Lawyer – Employment
Location: Bath, Bristol or Swindon
Hours: Part-time
Experience: 8+ years PQE

A new and rare opening with a Top 100 law firm has arisen for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer to join a highly regarded Employment & Immigration team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role and will shape how legal knowledge is shared and used across the department supporting fee earners and contributing to business growth.

This position can be based in either Bath, Bristol or Swindon.

The role:

  • Maintain and update legal knowledge databases, precedents, templates, and policies.
  • Lead the client-facing annual support programme (\”HELP\”) to ensure value and consistency.
  • Track legal developments, case law, and legislative changes; communicate insights through briefings and engaging training.
  • Support business development by creating legal content for webinars, seminars and internal workshops.
  • Collaborate across teams on key projects and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Contribute to business growth by integrating knowledge into marketing and development strategies.

What you\’ll bring:

  • Qualified solicitor or legal executive with strong Employment Law experience (5+ years PQE minimum) knowledge management/training expertise is a plus.
  • Passion for knowledge-sharing.
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
  • Great people skills, with the ability to connect, collaborate, and build strong working relationships.
  • Comfortable delivering training and legal updates both in person and online.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and proactively drive improvements.
  • Tech-savvy with strong skills in legal research tools and systems.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer looking to move away from a fee-earning position into a pivotal PSL role or perhaps someone already working in a PSL function who wants more autonomy and strategic input.
