In this role you will develop specialist expertise in trusts and personal tax within a nationally respected private client team. You will handle a varied, technical caseload spanning trust administration, planning and wealth protection, and work closely with in-house tax specialists. The role blends client-facing advisory work with drafting and compliance, across high-net-worth matters. You will join a flexible, supportive culture that prioritises development and wellbeing, with a typical two-day-a-week office presence. This is an opportunity to shape complex trust strategies for upscale clients in a leading practice.

Responsibilities
- Manage own caseload of trust matters from administration through to compliance and tax reporting
- Advise on creation, structure and ongoing management of UK trusts
- Draft trust documentation (deeds, letters of wishes, ancillary docs)
- Provide practical guidance on trust tax issues (income tax, CGT, IHT)
- Prepare or oversee annual trust accounts and tax returns
- Collaborate with lifetime planning team on trusts arising from wills, gifts and deputyships
- Liaise with trustees, high-net-worth clients, accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers
Key requirements
- Solicitor, Legal Executive or Trust Adviser with ideally 2-6 PQE (or equivalent experience); NQs with trust experience considered
- Comfortable managing own files without supervision and juggling deadlines
- Highly organised, proactive and client-focused with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
