A well established Portsmouth law firm is seeking a Commercial Property & Real Estate Lawyer to join its busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor experienced in commercial property and real estate work to manage a varied caseload and contribute to a supportive, professional, and client focused environment.
The Role
- Handling a broad range of commercial property and real estate matters, including:
- Investigating and deducing title
- Carrying out relevant property searches
- Applying for Official Copies and associated documents
- Drafting, approving, and negotiating business leases and related documentation
- Drafting, approving, and negotiating property contracts, transfers, and other transactional documents
- Preparing lease reports and reports on title
- Managing exchange and completion of transactions
- Handling all post completion matters
- Providing corporate support on share and asset sales
- Advising on property financing, acquisitions, and disposals of freehold and leasehold real estate
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in commercial property and real estate work (PQE level flexible)
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial transactions
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Confidence managing matters independently
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
