This senior appointment has arisen due to the retirement of a long standing Partner and offers the opportunity to lead a thriving practice within modern, centrally located offices.
The firm is known for its supportive culture, strong values and commitment to delivering high quality legal services across Dorset and Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior practitioner to take ownership of a high value caseload while playing a key role in the continued growth of the Family department.
The RoleYou will lead the Family team in Poole, managing a complex and high value caseload with a focus on: Financial remedy and high value matrimonial mattersGeneral matrimonial work, including divorce and separationAdvocacy and regular court attendanceSupervising and supporting a small team of lawyers and support staffOverseeing file management, quality standards and team performanceAttending local offices, client meetings, court hearings and networking eventsPromoting and developing the Family practice within the regionThe role requires regular on site attendance, with the option to work from home one day per week.
Candidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a senior Family Solicitor who can demonstrate: Extensive experience in high value matrimonial and financial remedy mattersStrong advocacy skills and confidence attending court hearingsProven ability to supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers and support staffAbility to manage a busy caseload independentlyStrong commercial awareness and confidence in networking and business developmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh levels of professionalism, integrity and discretionStrong organisational skills and ability to manage competing prioritiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systemsAbility to commute within one hour of PooleOwn transportBenefitsThe firm offers:25 days' holiday plus
