A well established and forward-thinking regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Associate (5+ PQE) to join its expanding team in Plymouth. This is a senior opportunity offering high quality work, leadership responsibility and the chance to contribute to the strategic growth of a respected department. The Private Client team is known for its technical excellence, compassionate approach and strong sector expertise across Elderly Care, Trusts, Tax, Succession and Estate Planning. The Role
- Managing a complex caseload of Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, Trusts and IHT Planning
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
- Contributing to team development, process improvement and best practice
- Leading business development initiatives and building referral networks
- Supporting the wider strategic direction and growth of the department
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years' PQE in private client work
- STEP membership (or working towards it) desirable
- Strong technical knowledge across all private client areas
- Ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision
- Experience supervising and developing junior colleagues
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence generating new business
- Excellent communication skills and a client focused approach
- A collaborative, proactive and professional mindset
