Overview

In this role you will handle a high-volume PI caseload (Employer Liability and Public Liability) from start to finish, across portal and non-portal matters, with fast-track focus and some multi-track exposure. You will manage your own files, draft correspondence, advise clients, and meet fee targets while contributing to business development. This is a collaborative team role with hybrid working after initial training, offering opportunities to progress within a supportive environment that values initiative and client focus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own PI files from intake to resolution, including litigated matters
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents
  • Provide clear, practical client advice
  • Meet fee-earning and time recording targets
  • Handle both Portal and non-Portal cases with fast-track and some multi-track exposure
  • Contribute to business development and strengthen client/referrer relationships

Key requirements

  • At least 3 years' PQE
  • Confident handling a high-volume caseload of Employer Liability and Public Liability claims
  • Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules, pre-action protocols, and the Damages Claims Portal
  • Experience running files end-to-end, including litigated matters
  • Commercial, client-focused approach and excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage own workload and work collaboratively in a team
