An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join a well established, multi office practice with a strong reputation across Somerset and Dorset. This hire comes at an exciting time for the firm, with a senior litigator retiring and a real opportunity for the right person to step into a key role within the department.
You will be part of a busy and supportive team, handling a varied Civil Litigation caseload while taking the lead on the firm's Personal Injury work. Applicants must have proven experience running Personal Injury matters confidently, alongside broader civil litigation exposure. A working knowledge of Contentious Probate and Debt Recovery would be a real advantage.
You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues but should be comfortable managing your own files with minimal supervision. This role also involves providing guidance to junior lawyers and support staff, so strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential. You’ll need to demonstrate a commitment to excellent client service, as well as the ability to meet billing and time recording targets.
Regular court attendance is part of the role, so confidence in advocacy is important. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 5+ years' PQE who is ready to take the next step towards Partnership. However, the firm is also open to speaking with candidates who have slightly less PQE but extensive Personal Injury experience and are looking for long term progression.
A clear pathway is available for those seeking career development, and the firm is known for its supportive culture and commitment to helping lawyers grow. With flexibility on office location and the option for one day a week working from home after probation, this is a great chance to build your career within a respected regional practice.
