An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and growing Private Client team in Milton Keynes. This role will involve providing comprehensive support to Solicitors across a range of private client matters, including wills, estate administration, trusts and lasting powers of attorney. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of files and delivering a high standard of service to clients.
Duties will include managing correspondence, handling telephone enquiries, opening and closing files, diary management and arranging client meetings. You will also assist with preparing and formatting legal documents, supporting with LPAs and probate paperwork, and liaising with external organisations such as banks and government bodies.
The successful candidate will be well organised, proactive and confident managing a busy workload. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused manner are essential. Previous experience in a legal support role is required, ideally within private client, although this is not essential. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and, ideally, have experience with digital dictation systems.
