A respected South West law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its successful and well established Estates Team in Teignmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with around 3 years' PQE who enjoys estate administration work and is looking to build a long term career within a supportive, community focused Wealth Management team.
The Role
- Managing your own estate administration caseload with appropriate supervision
- Handling all aspects of estate administration, including IHT reporting, grants of representation, estate accounts and distributions
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Meeting clients both in the office and at their homes when appropriate
- Building strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider Wealth Management team on succession planning, trusts and tax matters
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
- Contributing to the team's strong reputation within the local community
This is a client facing role offering genuine responsibility and the opportunity to become a trusted adviser to local families across generations.
Candidate Requirements
- Have around 3 years' PQE (flexible for strong candidates)
- Be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Have experience administering estates from start to finish
- Be comfortable dealing with both taxable and non taxable estates
- Be able to draft Wills and LPAs
- Have strong communication and organisational skills
- Be committed to excellent client service and high professional standards
- Be confident managing your own matters while working collaboratively within a team
- Have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for client visits
