Private Client Lawyer - Teignmouth
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a highly regarded Legal 500-recognised regional South West law firm with a strong reputation for private client and wealth management work.
Working within a successful Estates team, you'll support individuals, families and business owners with a broad range of estate administration matters.
This is a client-focused role offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload, develop long-standing client relationships and become a trusted adviser to generations of local families.
Based in Teignmouth, you'll benefit from the close-knit feel of a local office whilst being part of a larger, well-established Wealth Management team with the support, expertise and career opportunities that come with a leading regional firm.
- Managing a varied caseload of taxable and non-taxable estate administrations.
- Advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries throughout the probate process.
- Preparing inheritance tax returns, applications for Grants of Representation, estate accounts and distributions.
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Meeting clients in the office and, where appropriate, at their homes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, professional contacts and referrers.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues on succession planning, trusts and tax-related matters.
- Supporting the continued growth and reputation of the Estates team.
- Mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate.
- Candidate Requirements
We are keen to hear from qualified Solicitors and Chartered Legal Executives with experience in estate administration who are looking to build a long-term career within a supportive and ambitious team.
You will ideally have
- Around 3 years' PQE, although applicants with more or less experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience managing estate administration matters from start to finish.
- Knowledge of both taxable and non-taxable estates.
- Experience drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage your own caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
