Awdry Law is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join its established and highly regarded Commercial Property team in Marlborough. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload within a supportive, ambitious and forward-thinking firm known for excellent client service and strong values.

The Role

  • Managing a broad range of commercial property matters, including:
    • Commercial property sales and acquisitions
    • Landlord and tenant matters, including leases, agreements for lease and ancillary documents
    • Freehold and leasehold transactions
    • Property finance matters acting for lenders or borrowers
    • Property aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and contract amendments
    • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Delivering consistently high levels of service and identifying opportunities for improved delivery
    • Supporting the profile and reputation of the Commercial Property Department through networking and marketing

Candidate Requirements

  • Approximately 3+ years' PQE in commercial property
  • Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills
  • Experience with commercial leases, licences, rent deposit deeds and side letters
  • Strong understanding of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, title issues, planning and environmental considerations
  • Experience with SDLT, VAT and property due diligence processes
  • Familiarity with case management systems and Land Registry requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence managing client expectations
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently with strong organisational skills
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach
  • Experience contributing to business development and client growth
