A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its supportive and collaborative team across Bristol and Somerset. This is a senior role suited to someone who enjoys managing a varied caseload, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to business development and departmental growth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support junior lawyers within the Residential Property Department
- Lead marketing and business development initiatives to raise team profile
- Manage a busy caseload including freehold and leasehold sales/purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and first registrations
- Maintain regular client contact, including face-to-face meetings
- Deliver tailored advice aligned with each client's best interests
- Ensure efficient case progression and client communication
- Oversee day-to-day cash management with support from the finance team
- Maintain compliant and up-to-date electronic and physical files
- Prepare legal documentation using Microsoft Office
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE
- Proven experience managing residential property matters from instruction to completion
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Proactive, flexible, and supportive team contributor
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and strong typing ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Passionate about law with a strong work ethic
